Animal People and Pinata People

Hello dear reader, here are a few of my newest works, which I am rather excited about, both of these works are exceedingly small (the first being around 2.5 by 4, and the second around 3.5 by 5). The print above it is a pronto plate lithograph of an actual, much larger lithograph, which you may recognize from earlier in my blog. The second piece is something I whipped up this past Monday, The print itself is two silkscreen prints, one of which has been water colored, and then both prints have been waxed together (with the watercolor version in the middle), to give the color a subdued look. I made both for a gallery show at Manifest… so I hope I get in!!!

Morphing Silkscreen Heads

Animals and people morphing together is a common theme of my artwork, but with this project instead of having the head and the bodies morphing I decided to concentrate on the heads alone. Slightly a self portrait, the human halves morph into various aggressive animals meant to reflect certain inherent traits within us all. These particular prints were silkscreened and then painted with watercolor, but are not yet complete.
